The Field Service Engineer II is responsible for the upkeep and performance of high-quality medical imaging systems for our clients. This includes system applications, quality assurance, calibration, operating system support, software troubleshooting, and technical assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

Field Support (75%):
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with advanced medical imaging equipment.
  • Establish and maintain preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Document customer service interactions and maintain internal service records.
  • Address challenges related to medical imaging applications, electrical components, computer hardware, and software, as well as mechanical and hydraulic systems.
  • Comply with Health and Human Services, Environmental Health and Safety, and other relevant regulatory standards.
  • Conduct service, calibrations, and quality assurance checks in accordance with ISO13485 standards.
Technical Support (10%):
  • Provide technical assistance for high-end medical imaging systems via online and telephone support.
  • Engage with customers daily to ensure effective resolution and follow-up.
  • Monitor system performance, conduct evaluations, and perform performance tuning; troubleshoot hardware, software, networks, and system management issues; design and execute system load/stress tests; escalate application problems to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM).
Applications Support (5%):
  • Regularly interact with radiologists, technicians, physicians, and other medical professionals to stay informed about new and existing imaging solutions, issues, and trends.
Software Support (10%):
  • Ensure continuous uptime for applications software related to X-ray and Vascular modalities.
  • Utilize Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) for viewing, archiving, networking, and database management.
  • Prepare users through the design and delivery of training programs, offering software support and resources.
  • Provide online and telephone support for Windows and Linux operating systems.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the maintenance and repair of high-end medical imaging equipment.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must possess a valid and unrestricted driver's license with a safe driving record.
  • Basic computer skills and understanding of computer networks and equipment interaction.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as emergency off-hours as necessary to support a 24/7 operation.
  • Ability to travel periodically to meet business needs.
  • Capability to lift, push, and/or pull up to 75 pounds.
  • Physical ability to bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
