EVONA is collaborating with a prominent client in the field of solar electric propulsion systems and satellite technology. Due to their expanding operations, they are in search of an Electrical, Electronic, and Electro-mechanical (EEE) Component Engineer to ensure adherence to customer contract specifications and conduct thorough reviews. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Electronic Space Hardware. This position involves close cooperation with both Electrical and Mechanical Engineering teams to analyze customer contractual documents and verify compliance with components, materials, and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze customer contract stipulations to assess current or potential compliance levels.
  • Engage in EEE reviews concerning the manufacturing and testing of hardware, assisting in the evaluation of technical documentation and addressing production challenges.
  • Comprehend EEE components and their attributes, including material composition, necessary specifications/standards, and functionalities, to evaluate compliance with customer expectations.
  • Examine contracts for restricted materials and identify any special processes, tests, or requirements necessary to fulfill customer needs.
  • Assist Design Engineering in product development and support part procurement, which includes selection, qualification, necessary testing, and FMEA of EEE components and processes.
  • Work collaboratively with customers and internal engineering teams to aid in the documentation of deliverable processes. Proficiency in technical writing is essential for this role.
  • Participate in pre and post-contract agreement stages, reviewing contracts with the management team to identify potential resource risks prior to agreement, and creating process requirement documentation after the contract is finalized.
  • Support the Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) and Quality Manager in communicating customer flow-down requirements to suppliers and vendors.

Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of experience in project management (negotiable based on prior experience).
  • Familiarity with contractual documentation.
  • Experience with EEE components and procurement processes.
  • Knowledge of aerospace materials and component specifications and processes, particularly in electronics.
  • Technical writing experience.
  • Experience in reviewing engineering drawings and/or specifications and providing guidance to design, thermal, and manufacturing engineers.
  • Experience in EEE component testing, failure analysis, and resolution of non-conformance issues.
  • Understanding of radiation harness requirements.
  • Experience with non-conformance and failure analysis disposition.
  • Competence in Worst Case Analysis and Part Stress Analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
