Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to serve as the Assistant Director Portfolio Section Manager in our Housing and Community Services department. This role will oversee the management of our state-funded housing portfolio, ensuring compliance, financial health, and property integrity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of professionals responsible for overseeing the compliance, financial, and regulatory aspects of our affordable housing portfolio.
  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure the financial health and integrity of our properties.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to foster partnerships and ensure coordinated implementation of updates and changes.
  • Stay up-to-date on state and federal affordable housing rental programs, including HUD, LIHTC, OAHTC, and Bond programs.
  • Provide excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey information, provide feedback, and facilitate collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Seven years of supervision, management, or progressively related experience.
  • Or four years of related experience and a bachelor's degree in a related field.

  • Extensive skills in managing high-level professionals responsible for a broad scope of work, including building partnerships, delivering programs, strategic planning, and financial, physical, and regulatory operational oversight.
  • Ability to interpret complex financial and regulatory information, disseminate that information to key stakeholders, and make informed decisions to ensure affordable housing properties remain compliant with applicable state and federal housing programs.
  • Strong understanding of state and federal affordable housing rental programs and fiscal monitoring of such programs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey information, provide feedback, and facilitate collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
