Position Overview
The Associate Manager of Real Estate Portfolio at Ryder plays a pivotal role in overseeing a diverse range of responsibilities as the designated Regional Staff member for all real estate initiatives. This position is essential in driving the corporate real estate goals for the region, facilitating brokerage opinions of value (BOVs) and real estate comparables as necessary for specific transactions, and supporting management throughout the decision-making process. Participation in regional staff meetings as required by senior management is anticipated. The role serves as the Real Estate Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the region, influencing leadership at the Business Unit, Regional, and Headquarters levels by articulating the strategies necessary to meet real estate objectives within the assigned area.
Work Arrangement: Remote work from home
Travel: 10%
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the Real Estate strategy for the designated portfolio.
- Assist in the annual Property, Plant, and Equipment (PP&E) planning and coordinate portfolio projects with Financial Planning & Control (FP&C).
- Collaborate with Brokers to identify new properties and acquire BOVs/comparables.
- Engage with Legal, Environmental, Operations, and Sales teams to ensure timely completion of transactions.
- Maintain accurate portfolio records within the Real Estate database.
- Adhere to Ryder's Real Estate Compliance and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
- Supervise direct reports.
Additional Duties
- Assess facilities within the assigned portfolio to formulate short and long-term strategic plans.
- Develop comprehensive action plans aligned with the business strategy concerning Real Estate.
- Conduct market analyses to ensure that alternatives are assessed and all economic factors are competitive and market-rate.
- Continuously review processes related to Real Estate to eliminate inefficiencies.
- Perform other assigned tasks as necessary.

Educational Background
- Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
- 5-7 years of professional experience in Commercial Real Estate or related fields is essential.
- Familiarity with Real Estate Industry Best Practices, Properties and Construction, and Real Estate database platforms.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary for this role ranges from $80K to $100K, determined based on internal equity, market data, applicant skills, relevant experience, and applicable degrees or certifications.
