Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Benefits and Compliance Manager to join our team at Beach Front Property Management Inc. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing various aspects of employee benefits and compliance programs.

Key Responsibilities

Benefits Administration

  • Administer and manage the company's 401k retirement plan, ensuring timely and accurate processing of contributions and distributions.
  • Provide education and support to employees regarding plan options and benefits.
  • Monitor compliance with ERISA and other relevant regulations.
  • Coordinate with third-party administrators and auditors as needed.

Billing and Reconciliation

  • Oversee the billing process for benefits-related expenses, reconciling invoices and ensuring accurate payment processing.
  • Address billing discrepancies and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of all billing transactions.

Leave of Absence Management

  • Manage employee leave of absence requests, including FMLA, personal leave, and other statutory leave.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company leave policies.
  • Track and document all leave of absence activities.
  • Provide guidance to employees and managers on leave policies and procedures.

Compliance and Risk Management

  • Administer and manage the company's compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), coordinating reasonable accommodation requests and interactive processes.
  • Ensure documentation and communication are in compliance with ADA requirements.
  • Provide training and support to managers and employees on ADA compliance.

Workplace Safety and Incident Reporting

  • Manage workman's compensation claims from initial report to resolution, coordinating with insurance carriers, healthcare providers, and employees to ensure timely and accurate claims processing.
  • Maintain records of all workman's compensation claims and ensure compliance with state laws.
  • Conduct investigations and follow-up on workplace injuries and incidents.

Employee Relations and Conflict Resolution

  • Address and resolve employee relations issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints and concerns.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution between employees and/or management.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers and employees on conflict resolution techniques.

Support to the HR Department

  • Assist with HR projects and initiatives to improve department efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR team, including data entry, report generation, and document management.
  • Collaborate with HR team members to develop and implement programs that enhance team performance and employee engagement.
  • Participate in HR meetings and contribute to strategic planning and decision-making processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in benefits administration, compliance, and HR.
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to employee benefits and workplace safety.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and benefits management software.
  • Certification in Human Resources (PHR/SPHR) is a plus.

Working Conditions

  • Full-time position with a standard workweek.
  • Occasional travel may be required for training and meetings.
