Risk Assessment Specialist

The Underwriting Organization is responsible for underwriting new life applications, focusing on delivering a best-in-class customer experience. Underwriting team members provide medical and financial risk assessments on applications for individual life insurance policies.
Key Responsibilities- Accurately assess medical and financial risk, protecting the mortality results of the organization while supporting sales.
- Interact frequently with customers, requiring a customer-centric and relationship-focused attitude, excellent communication skills, and accountability for accurate and prompt processing.
- Work with Case Managers, Internal & External Wholesalers, and NMO's/Firms to achieve organizational goals.
- Experience with various distribution systems.
- 3+ years of life underwriting experience with demonstrated competence and experience handling mid-level face amount cases.
- Approval authority up to $7,000,000.
- FLMI, FALU, and/or CLU designations preferred or progress towards these designations.
