Key Responsibilities:

  • Define engine specifications related to performance and durability while establishing the technical direction for program development.
  • Lead the development of core engine components, including cylinder blocks, valvetrains, cranktrains, cooling systems, lubrication, fuel systems, exhaust, and induction systems.
  • Coordinate tasks across design, testing, and simulation teams to ensure seamless program execution.
  • Collaborate with industry partners to design and develop targeted powertrain systems.
  • Engage with suppliers to foster technical partnerships for new component development.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain comprehensive program documentation, including engine and vehicle data analysis.
  • Author and approve technical reports to support program milestones.
  • Prepare and present technical overviews to leadership for key program gateways.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of ten years of experience in engine research, design, and development.
  • Proven experience in managing high-performance engine design and development initiatives.
  • Demonstrated technical project management skills, including goal setting, budgeting, scheduling, and testing.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and a willingness to learn internal software tools.
  • Compliance with ITAR regulations requires all employees at this location to be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents.
