Job Summary

The Client Manager: Natural Gas & Electricity position is a key role at World Kinect Corporation, responsible for originating and maintaining revenue with larger clients. This involves managing complex energy issues, developing client relationships, and promoting WFS products and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Originate core agency revenue through existing client relationships.
  • Originate consulting revenue from Advisory Services projects through existing client relationships.
  • Originate revenue from other WFS products, including natural gas supply, propane, diesel, #6 fuel oil, card services, new services in Mexico, and global services.
  • Identify and pursue business development opportunities.
  • Enhance the business relationship with clients.
  • Lead internal teams to address issues related to business strategies, systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of interstate pipelines.

Leadership Responsibilities

  • The Account Manager does not have official supervisory responsibilities, but often manages a team of people to meet client needs.
  • The Account Manager position is expected to assist with and lead several initiatives throughout the year to enhance revenue.
  • The Account Manager position is expected to mentor others in the organization.

Education/Training/Expertise

  • Bachelor's Degree (BS, BA, etc.) required. Math, business, engineering, economics, or finance are preferred, with special consideration for a Master's/MBA Degree.
  • Six years or more experience in the energy and gas industry.
  • Ability to think strategically about the client to provide additional value, which can translate into increased revenue for the company.
  • Specialized training valuable to the Account Manager position includes Professional Engineer certification, CPA, Certified Energy Manager, Certified Energy Auditor, Certified Energy Procurement, and strong interpersonal, negotiation, presentation, writing, and price risk management knowledge.
  • Regulatory knowledge, energy infrastructure, and sustainability.
  • Problem-solving, mathematical, and organizational skills.
  • Communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Team player who excels at performing in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple highly complex projects.
  • Ability to think strategically about the client and find solutions to their issues.
  • Strong understanding of natural gas and electricity systems and related industry standards.
  • Ability to look for growth opportunities for the company.

Requirements

This position requires constant availability with frequent global contacts at unusual hours on a 7-day basis. A work schedule is an integral part of successful job performance. The Account Manager must be accessible to clients for urgent calls at all hours and all days of the week.
