About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety and Compliance Specialist to join our team in the Audits and Compliance Section. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the compliance of our correctional facilities with state laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of correctional facilities to ensure compliance with state laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement effective compliance strategies to prevent non-compliance.
  • Collaborate with prison administrators and public officials to ensure effective working relationships.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical inspection reports and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in laws, policies, and standards related to correctional facilities.
Requirements
  • High school diploma/GED and one (1) year of job-related experience.
  • Knowledge of laws, policies, and standards related to correctional facilities.
  • Ability to read, speak, and write English effectively.
  • Ability to learn to operate a computer and utilize basic to moderately complex applications and software.
