**Job Summary:**
The County of Monroe is seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis. As a Culinary Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing menus and meals that meet the nutritional and dietary guidelines set by the National School Lunch Program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare menus and meals that meet the nutritional and dietary guidelines set by the National School Lunch Program.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal food safety protocols.
- Ensure that all kitchen security protocols are observed, including counting utensils and locking doors and serving windows.
- Collaborate with the Youth Center Director to develop and implement menus and meal plans.
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- High School graduation or equivalent.
- Certified in a recognized food safety course or ability to become certified within one year of employment.
Working Conditions:
This is a part-time position, working approximately 20 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
