Position Overview:

In the role of Assistant Receiving Manager, you will be instrumental in managing all processes associated with incoming and outgoing goods. Your duties will encompass overseeing the Receiving CRT, maintaining vigilance for any signs of theft, and leading the team of equipment operators responsible for loading and unloading products.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensure precision in item descriptions and counts for incoming shipments.
  • Confirm UPC numbers for all received goods.
  • Accurately complete the Manifest/Bill of Lading.
  • Maintain the IBT Seal Log for all deliveries.
  • Oversee the Order Pool to guarantee timely Purchase Orders.
  • Document and archive Purchase Orders systematically.
  • Supervise entries in the Receiving CRT.
  • Organize and file Driver Logs appropriately.
  • Efficiently schedule deliveries.
  • Conduct monthly self-audits to ensure compliance.
  • Facilitate effective communication with the Logistics Department.
  • Manage Cross-Dock Pickups proficiently.
  • Ensure adherence to Safety Policies and HACCP standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree, OR
  • High School Diploma or GED with 4+ years of experience in customer service, OR
  • A combination of education and experience that is equivalent.
  • Strong analytical and communication abilities.
  • Proficient in understanding business publications and technical documentation.
  • Customer-focused with a dedication to company values.
  • Computer literate and capable of lifting 50lbs.

Work Environment:

  • Exposure to fluctuating temperatures due to open dock gates.
  • Presence of moving equipment in the area.
