Job Title: Payroll & HR Coordinator

Our client, a reputable company in the industry, is seeking a highly skilled Payroll & HR Coordinator to join their team. This role will be responsible for processing payroll through the Paychex Flex third-party portal, managing biweekly payroll changes, and maintaining records for approximately 40+ employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll using Paychex Flex for approximately 40 employees (exempt and non-exempt)
  • Manage biweekly payroll changes and ensure adherence to accurate record maintenance
  • Support Substance Abuse and Prevention Program, ensuring compliance with regulations
  • Roll out a new training program with Paychex, streamlining and tracking all trainings (IT, health, safety, fieldwork, etc.)
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies & procedures
  • Stay up to date on payroll and HR regulations

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Previous experience processing payroll for 50+ employees, specifically in Connecticut
  • Familiarity with Paychex Flex and other payroll processing systems - This role requires someone tech savvy, able to navigate multiple portals, and easily learn new systems.
  • Experience in supporting company programs & initiatives
  • Knowledge of HR policies and regulations
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with the finance team
  • A degree is preferred but not required; relevant experience is critical

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with HR policy development
  • Experience with implementing training programs
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in payroll processing
