Unit Overview:

Kelemen North and South 9 is a two-sided, seventy-six bed Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit. Our staff care for a diverse range of patient populations, including cardiac, trauma, gastrointestinal, and psychiatric cases.

To support our staff, Clinical Nurse Managers (CNMs) assist with patient care, throughput, and assignments.

Staff Requirements:

Nurses working on Kelemen 9 are required to have Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications, enabling them to provide competent and safe care for our complex patient populations.

Job Responsibilities:

Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN), assists patients with activities of daily living and develops a plan of care.

Communicates effectively with the healthcare team, patients, and/or their family members or significant others.

Maintains and demonstrates high standards of professional ethics.

Qualifications:

1 year or more of patient care experience in a similar role.

Education and Certification:

Completed at least one fundamental nursing course in an accredited RN Program.

Successful completion of an unlicensed healthcare provider/technician program.

High school diploma or equivalent.

License and Certification Requirements:

AHA Basic Life Support certification.

Special Requirements:

Must successfully complete EKG and Phlebotomy training during orientation.
