Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician II to join our team at Cooper University Health Care. As a Pharmacy Technician II, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient preparation and dispensing of medications to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately and timely prepare all medications, including IV medications, under the direct supervision of the pharmacist as per policy and regulation.
  • Restock Automated dispensing devices, Carousals, and Floor stock requisitions.
  • Complete expired medication inspections and ensure all medications are properly delivered.
  • Answer phones to assist in dispensing questions and provide excellent customer service.
  • Break down wholesaler orders and organize storeroom, as well as organize bulk fluid inventory.
  • Functionally use the hospital information systems to support pharmacy operations.
Requirements
  • Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Current NJ registration (or eligible on hire) and registration with the NJ Board of Pharmacy within 10 days of employment.
  • Pharmacy Technician National Certification (PTCB) or greater than 10 years hospital or equivalent pharmacy experience required.
  • Completion of basic pharmaceutical calculations.
