Overview:
Our medical-surgical unit, Kelemen 10, provides care for patients with diverse needs and medical conditions. This 72-bed unit features telemetry capabilities and a 12-bed Intermediate Care Unit, staffed by critically care-trained RNs who support patient care and ventilated patients.
We conduct multidisciplinary rounds Monday through Friday, involving patients in their care and facilitating collaboration among team members to provide the best possible care and discharge planning.
A pharmacist is available on the unit to assist RNs in providing timely care.
Job Summary:
Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN), assists with patients' activities of daily living and plan of care.
Communicates effectively with the healthcare team, patients, and their families or significant others.
Maintains high standards of professional ethics.
Requirements:
- 1 year or more of patient care experience in a similar role.
- Completed at least one fundamental nursing course in an accredited RN Program.
- Successful completion of an unlicensed healthcare provider/technician program.
- High school diploma/GED.
Certifications:
- AHA Basic Life Support certification.
Special Requirements:
- Must successfully complete EKG and Phlebotomy training during orientation.
