Job Title: Adjunct Instructor, Dance

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Instructor to teach dance courses at Pasco-Hernando State College. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging and relevant instruction to students, as well as maintaining accurate records and adhering to college policies.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and teach dance courses that meet the educational needs of assigned students.
  • Provide students with a course syllabus that includes requirements and submit copies to the appropriate Academic Dean.
  • Maintain accurate grade rosters and class attendance records.
  • Assess student progress and post student grades.
  • Provide academic assistance to students, including office hours and appointments.
  • Adhere to college and departmental policies.
  • Participate in programs and activities that enhance professional development.
  • Review the Full-Time Faculty and Adjunct Faculty Handbook prior to teaching classes.
  • Attend and participate in faculty meetings, as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Dance or a Master's Degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in the qualifying field.
  • Appropriate credentials as required by Rules of the District Board of Trustees and contained in the Pasco-Hernando State College Faculty Credentials and Qualifications Manual.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Advanced organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of students.
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Ability to maintain detailed student records.
