Adjunct Professor of Economics

Job Summary:We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Instructor to teach Economics courses at our Spring Hill Campus. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging coursework, assessing student progress, and maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities:- Design and deliver high-quality Economics courses that meet the educational needs of assigned students.
- Provide reasonable accommodations for students with disabilities and interact with the Director of Disabilities Services as needed.
- Develop and distribute course syllabi, including the requirements listed in the Syllabus Template, and submit copies to the appropriate Academic Dean.
- Provide examinations and grade rosters to the Provost and/or Associate Dean as requested.
- Maintain accurate attendance records and submit them to College personnel within established deadlines.
- Assess student progress and post grades in a timely manner.
- Offer academic assistance to students, including a minimum of one office hour per week, and participate in professional development programs.
- Adhere to College and departmental policies, including the Full-Time Faculty and Adjunct Faculty Handbook.
- Attend and participate in faculty meetings as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
A Master's degree in Economics or a Master's degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in the qualifying field is required. The degree must be from a regionally accredited institution. The qualifying field is Economics, and the candidate should possess advanced organizational skills, the ability to communicate effectively with students, and the ability to establish and maintain working relationships with stakeholders.
