We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Instructor to join our team at Pasco-Hernando State College. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, preparing, and teaching a variety of coursework in the Division of Nursing and Health Programs.
Responsibilities- Design and deliver high-quality instruction to meet the educational needs of assigned students, in accordance with the College's policies, procedures, and approved curricula.
- Provide reasonable accommodations for students with disabilities, in collaboration with the Director of Disabilities Services.
- Develop and submit course syllabi, which include the requirements listed in the Syllabus Template, to the appropriate Academic Dean.
- Provide the Provost, Academic Dean, and/or Associate Dean with copies of examinations as requested.
- Maintain accurate grade rosters and class attendance records, and submit them to College personnel within established deadlines.
- Assess student progress and post student grades.
- Offer academic assistance to students, with a minimum of one office hour per week, immediately before or after class, or by appointment.
- Adhere to College and departmental policies.
- Participate in programs and/or activities that enhance professional development.
- Review the Full-Time Faculty and Adjunct Faculty Handbook prior to teaching classes.
- Attend and participate in faculty meetings, as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
- Must hold current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification/card.
- Must be available to teach on all campuses.
- Must own AHA Instructor Manual.
Experience in facilitating adult learning is preferred.
Work EnvironmentThis position is not eligible for benefits.
