Adjunct Dance Instructor

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Instructor to teach dance courses at Pasco-Hernando State College. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality instruction to students, as well as maintaining accurate records and adhering to college policies.
Responsibilities- Design and deliver engaging dance courses that meet the educational needs of assigned students.
- Provide individualized support and accommodations for students with disabilities, in collaboration with the Director of Disabilities Services.
- Develop and distribute course syllabi, including requirements and expectations, and submit copies to the appropriate Academic Dean.
- Maintain accurate grade rosters and class attendance records, and submit them to college personnel within established deadlines.
- Assess student progress and post grades in a timely manner.
- Hold regular office hours for academic support and consultation.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
- Review and adhere to college and departmental policies, as well as the Full-Time Faculty and Adjunct Faculty Handbook.
- Attend and participate in faculty meetings, as assigned.
- Master's degree in Dance or a related field, with at least 18 graduate semester hours in the qualifying field.
- Appropriate credentials, as required by the District Board of Trustees and the Pasco-Hernando State College Faculty Credentials and Qualifications Manual.
- Advanced organizational skills, ability to communicate effectively with students, and ability to establish and maintain working relationships with stakeholders.
- Experience teaching dance courses at the college level.
- Knowledge of dance pedagogy and curriculum development.
