Position Overview

This role is designed for individuals with a strong background in supply chain management and logistics. Candidates are encouraged to present their qualifications succinctly, with a maximum of five pages for their resume. Eligibility Criteria
This position is open to:

  • Current federal employees in competitive service.
  • Individuals with prior experience in land and base management agencies.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will:

  • Utilize expertise to oversee the acquisition, storage, and management of supplies and products.
  • Establish and maintain optimal inventory levels to ensure timely procurement of essential items.
  • Prepare and manage inventory control documentation, ensuring proper organization and labeling of stock in storage areas.
  • Coordinate maintenance, calibration, and repair schedules for equipment as necessary.
Conditions of Employment

Appointment to this position may require a suitability or fitness determination based on a comprehensive background investigation. Candidates must successfully complete a National Agency Check with Written Inquiries (NACI, Tier 1). This role may involve temporary duty travel or business travel requirements.

Additionally, candidates must comply with pre-employment financial disclosure requirements and may be subject to a probationary period.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet one of the following categories to be eligible:

  • Current Department of Army Civilian Employees.
  • Department of Defense (DoD) Civilian Employees.
  • Individuals eligible under the Interagency Career Transition Assistance Plan.
  • Military spouses under Executive Order.

Specialized Experience Requirements
To qualify for this position, candidates must demonstrate specialized experience as follows:

  • GS-07 Level: One year of experience assisting in the procurement of medical maintenance supplies, resolving logistical issues, and collecting inventory data using automated systems.
  • GS-08 Level: One year of experience ensuring timely ordering of medical supplies, addressing stock and logistical challenges, and maintaining accurate inventory records.

Additional Information
