HVACR Systems Specialist

The primary role of the HVACR Systems Specialist is to assess and document existing refrigeration, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (RHVAC) and energy management systems (EMS) conditions for incorporation into supermarket capital initiatives.
Proficiency in HVAC/R maintenance procedures, installation, and commissioning of supermarket control systems is essential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Willingness to travel up to 90% of the work week.
Serve as the primary liaison for identifying and resolving communication-related control challenges.
Act as a technical advisor for all level 1 service providers.
Diagnose issues with critical HVACR equipment and provide comprehensive scopes for repair or resolution of identified problems. Engage in repairs as authorized by the client through Service Channel.
Assist in the resolution of issues remotely or on-site as necessary to support level 1 service providers. This includes remedial repairs identified during on-site visits. Delegation of repairs will be initiated by clients directly with CBES.
Maintain consistent communication with all relevant parties regarding outstanding punch list items.
Support EMS (RHVAC) programming updates. Implement changes and repairs as necessary to facilitate on-site inspections.
Provide thorough documentation and evaluations of mechanical infrastructure, including custom-built and packaged air handling units, parallel compressor rack systems, energy management, and building automation systems, as well as electrical components such as variable frequency drives (VFDs), relays, contactors, and transformers.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
Inspect locations that are under construction or renovation during the construction phase to monitor project progress and ensure adherence to installation and programming standards.
Develop a commissioning strategy for each assigned project based on the plans and specifications provided by the EMS Engineering team.
Prepare interim reports of commissioning activities as required and a final report detailing all exceptions and/or out-of-spec conditions.
Make minor control wiring and programming adjustments as necessary.
Collaborate with the Construction Project Manager to rectify all exceptions.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 5-10 years' experience in the installation or maintenance of HVACR or control systems.
Experience in the operation and programming of Danfoss and/or Emerson supermarket control systems is required.
Valid driver's license.
EPA 608 certification is preferred.
Desired competencies include:
- Ability to interpret blueprints is preferred.

- Strong attention to detail.
- Comfort with working in confined spaces such as machine rooms and on equipment that may be loud, dusty, and difficult to access.
