Position Overview:
As a vital member of the facility operations team, the HVACR Refrigeration Technician will oversee the maintenance and functionality of refrigeration systems within a large clinical laboratory setting. This role requires a diverse skill set, including mechanical repair, plumbing, HVAC, electrical work, carpentry, and more.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct daily maintenance and repairs on cold storage units, HVAC systems, and associated equipment.
  • Perform routine upkeep of the facility's infrastructure, including furniture and equipment.
  • Execute preventive maintenance and thorough inspections of all systems and equipment.
  • Collaborate with team members to address challenges and complete tasks efficiently.
  • Timely completion of assigned work orders and project tasks.
  • Support the Operations Manager in achieving operational and financial objectives.
  • Report directly to the Operations Manager regarding all maintenance activities.

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED with a minimum of 5 years of experience in HVACR within a commercial environment, preferably in healthcare or laboratory settings.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of refrigeration troubleshooting and repair techniques.
  • Familiarity with refrigeration monitoring systems.
  • Understanding of air handling units and exhaust systems.
  • Basic knowledge of building automation systems.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and manuals.
  • Experience in developing and managing maintenance schedules.
  • Basic maintenance skills across various building components.
  • Knowledge of power generation systems.
  • Experience in preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance practices.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in computer usage.
  • Understanding of OSHA safety regulations.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks in various environments.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Compensation: $36.00 per hour
