We are currently in search of a Senior System Validation Specialist to become a vital part of our Software Quality Engineering team. This role requires a seasoned expert with a solid background in software quality assurance and system validation. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive attitude and approach their responsibilities with resolve. Candidates should showcase excellence in their fields, possess the ability to learn swiftly, and pursue perfection in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as an Advanced Engineering Specialist collaborating with Field/Service, Customer Care, Electrical, and Software teams to investigate issues identified in the field.
  • Work closely with the Service team and software development team to pinpoint the root cause of field issues, providing thorough analysis and next steps to drive permanent corrective actions.
  • Take ownership of functional domains and become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to serve as the primary contact for functionality and signal flow.
  • Validate issues reported from the field, replicate these issues on fleet vehicles, and supply additional data and documentation.
  • Document and monitor issues as necessary, participating in the triage of issues with various teams to facilitate root cause identification and resolution.
  • Identify, develop, and implement strategies to automate and enhance testing and report generation.
  • Source, commission, and maintain all tools required for testing and analysis.
  • Regularly report status updates, identify gaps and areas for improvement, and drive solutions.
  • Mentor and coach junior team members to develop their capabilities.
Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in developing and executing test cases for the validation of large-scale programs and products.
  • Outstanding troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose, triage, and identify root causes through data acquisition (Kibana/Grafana).
  • 7+ years of experience in comprehensive Software System validation.
  • 6+ years of experience testing in areas such as Controls/EE Integration, ADAS/AD functions, Infotainment, AC/DC Charging, or LTE/Wi-Fi products.
  • Familiarity with vehicle communication protocols (CAN, DoIP, ETH, LIN, UDS) and Vector Peak CAN-based tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with automotive ethernet, (cyber)security, and telematics is advantageous.
  • Ability to interpret harness schematics.
  • Familiarity with MATLAB, Simulink, Vector, and/or Peak CAN-based tools.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, C, or C++ is a plus.
Education:
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or similar).
Compensation Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to various locations and reflects the range Lucid reasonably expects to pay for the role, considering factors such as job-related knowledge, skillset, experience, education, training, certifications, and other relevant business considerations.
