Career Opportunities

As a Medical Science Liaison Specialist, you will play a critical role in building key opinion leader (KOL) partnerships by engaging in scientific data exchange and medical information with external stakeholders. You will establish and maintain educational and research collaborations, deliver clinical, scientific, and technical education, and build long-term peer-to-peer relationships with key stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities

  • Scientific Exchange: Build external partnerships with recognized community and academic medical center KOLs to identify and address scientific needs and stay abreast of current trends in the assigned therapeutic area.
  • Thought Leadership: Identify and develop key thought leaders for medical education, clinical research, and publication opportunities.
  • KOL Relationships: Cultivate existing and identify new collaborative KOL relationships for advisory boards, company-sponsored research, and speaker development.
  • Medical Support: Provide medical support, including scientific education, to healthcare professionals at key institutions.

Therapeutic Support: Lead and support internal medical projects aligned to the development plan, participate in internal therapeutic advisory groups, and contribute to publication planning, clinical research, and medical education material development.

Administrative Work: Accurately and timely complete documentation of field activities, expense reporting, and administrative reports, and complete required training on time and in full.

Experience Required: Post-graduate residency training along with 3-5 years of clinical experience relevant to the Respiratory Therapeutic Area. Must have experience in Asthma/COPD and demonstrate exceptional clinical, pharmacoeconomic, and real-world evidence knowledge and business acumen.

Education: Completion of a graduate-level degree (PharmD, MD, DO, DNP, PhD, MSN, MS or equivalent healthcare professional degree) along with relevant clinical experience.

Salary Estimate: $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience.
