POSITION SUMMARY:
The Revenue Cycle Trainer role is integral to Centerprise's commitment to enhancing the onboarding experience and the overall quality of the revenue cycle team. This position aims to elevate employees' skills in EPM/EHR/EDR, improving their performance, productivity, and work quality. The trainer will oversee the workflows within the Revenue Cycle and develop comprehensive, consistent training programs for all personnel, including new hire orientations and refresher courses for existing staff, alongside implementing a schedule for ongoing training.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and implement a thorough revenue cycle training and evaluation framework for all billing personnel to promote continuous improvement and adaptive training initiatives, while conducting effective orientation sessions.
- Regularly assess the effectiveness of training programs.
- Act as the primary contact for all inquiries and requests related to revenue cycle training.
- Facilitate training sessions.
- Create and prepare educational resources and materials.
- Conduct onboarding and training for new employees.
- Collaborate with IT to ensure all necessary computer systems and access are prepared for new hires.
- Perform routine Quality Reviews of all team members.
- Conduct needs assessments based on Quality Reviews to identify skills or knowledge gaps that require attention.
- Assist in the formulation of Centerprise RCM policies and procedures.
- Oversee and maintain organizational policies and procedures, including annual reviews and necessary updates.
- Foster and maintain excellent client relationships.
- Work closely with Data Analysts to ensure the accuracy of data elements required for reporting and assist in the preparation of weekly and monthly reports.
- Support the development of presentations, educational materials, and client deliverables.
- Identify and cultivate new ideas or emerging opportunities that may benefit clients.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: To successfully perform this role, an individual must be capable of executing each essential duty proficiently. The qualifications listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in the healthcare sector – FQHC preferred, but non-FQHC experience will be considered; comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of revenue cycle management, including registration, billing, charge capture, AR management, information systems, and compliance with State and Federal billing regulations.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor's Degree or 3-5 years of equivalent leadership experience.
Required Skills: Strong customer service skills; comprehensive understanding of federal, state, and HIPAA privacy regulations; familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 coding protocols and procedures; ability to handle confidential information professionally; capacity to effectively influence change; ability to build strong working relationships with leadership and key executives. Experience with various Electronic Medical Records and training or educational skills is advantageous. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
