Healthcare Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinic Assistant to join our team at Planned Parenthood of Southern New England, Inc.
The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care and support our clinicians in delivering high-quality healthcare services.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing world-class patient care and supporting clinicians in delivering quality healthcare services
- Providing excellent client-centered customer service and ensuring patients are at the center of all decision-making
- Participating in health center efforts to achieve established productivity and revenue cycle goals
- Partnering with center managers and clinicians to create efficient and effective systems and processes
- Knowledgeable of and adhering to organizational and clinical standards, protocols, and policies
- Providing factual, non-biased patient information and education necessary for patient visits
- Performing technical clinical functions, such as blood pressure, venipuncture, lab work, and medical charting
- Performing basic office functions, including office reception, telephone triage, stocking supplies, filing, billing, and coding, and routine insurance data entry
Requirements include:
- Solution-oriented, positive, optimistic, confident can-do attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with changing responsibilities
- Demonstrated ability to handle highly confidential information with diplomacy and tact
- Comfortable discussing sexuality, contraception, sexually transmitted diseases, and pregnancy options
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and have a reliable form of transportation
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Communicates clearly and directly, continually able to hear, reflect, and act on feedback related to identity and equity
- Awareness of multiple group identities and their dynamics, and brings a high level of self-awareness, empathy, and humility to interpersonal interactions
- Interest in expanding knowledge about the role that racial inequity plays in society, and commitment to building and/or deepening commitment to racial equity in work
