Electrical Project Engineer - Senior | Project Manager

Job Overview:

J-U-B ENGINEERS, Inc. is dedicated to Helping Each Other Create Better Communities. We are currently seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer with a focus on municipal and commercial facility design and project management. This role is essential in fostering a collaborative environment aimed at problem-solving and societal improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Electrical Project Engineer, your primary duties will include:
  • Conducting project scoping, scheduling, and cost estimation.
  • Performing short circuit, load flow, and relay coordination studies.
  • Creating one-line diagrams, plan drawings, cable schedules, interconnection drawings, and schematics.
  • Engaging with contractors, clients, and facility operators to ensure project success.
  • Interpreting control system, construction, and installation drawings.
  • Developing equipment and construction specifications.
  • Providing field evaluations, electrical investigations, and on-site construction support.
  • Mentoring and guiding junior engineers.
  • Collaborating with other engineering disciplines within the firm.
  • Leading business development initiatives and crafting proposals for professional services.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution; a Master's degree is a plus.
  • Licensure as a Professional Engineer with a minimum of 8 years of post-licensure experience.
  • Expertise in design, construction management, startup, and commissioning services.
  • Proficiency in electrical power system modeling techniques, with familiarity in ETAP, SKM, and/or EasyPower being advantageous.
  • A solid understanding of electrical construction methodologies.
  • The ability to extract technical information from diverse sources to implement effective designs.
  • Strong communication skills to convey technical information to clients.
  • A high level of attention to detail, quality, and accuracy in documentation.
  • The capability to self-review work and that of team members.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $115,000 - $150,000, commensurate with experience.
