Job Summary:

Sayres and Associates is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Analyst to support our Corporate Finance team. This role is eligible for fully remote work.

About the Role:

We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Billing Analyst to join our team. As a Billing Analyst, you will be responsible for managing the billing process for government contracts, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit accurate and timely invoices for government contracts, including T&M and CPFF billings.
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms, government regulations, and company policies.
  • Calculate and apply indirect rates to invoices.
  • Utilize Unanet and/or Costpoint accounting systems to manage billing data.
  • Submit invoices through the Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF) portal.
  • Reconcile billed amounts with contract values and funding.
  • Coordinate with project managers, contract administrators, and finance teams to resolve billing issues.
  • Maintain detailed and organized billing records.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports related to billing activities.
  • Support internal and external audits as required.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of proven experience as a Billing Clerk or in a similar role within a government contracting environment.
  • Strong knowledge of T&M and CPFF billing processes.
  • Familiarity with indirect rates and their application in billing.
  • Proficiency in using Unanet and/or Costpoint accounting systems.
  • Experience with the Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF) invoice submission portal.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with team members.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Knowledge of government contracting regulations and compliance requirements.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to obtain secret clearance if needed.

Salary:

  • The salary for this position is likely $45,000 - $60,000. Salary ranges are not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
