Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Program Specialist 3 to join our team at Clark College. This is a full-time, 10-month position in the Child and Family Studies Program, responsible for leading a classroom facilitator and lab instructor. The successful candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain a safe and healthy learning environment for children aged 3-5 years.
  • Assess children's social, emotional, and cognitive needs and develop educational activities to meet those needs.
  • Prepare and evaluate the learning environment to ensure it is engaging and effective.
  • Observe and document children's learning levels and progress.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum for the child care program.
  • Build inclusive curriculum with awareness of diverse populations.
  • Supervise and direct aides and early childhood education students in the classroom.
  • Provide feedback and coaching to students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Maintain accurate records and data on children's progress and program activities.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • Valid certification in CPR and First Aid.
  • Two years of experience working with children aged 3-5 years.
  • Experience providing feedback and coaching to adult learners.
  • Familiarity with frameworks such as Relationship-Based Curriculum, Emergent Curriculum, and Reggio Emilia.
  • Knowledge of state licensing regulations, QRIS, and NAEYC Code of Ethics.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
