Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Intervention Special Education Teacher to join our team at Educational Services. As a key member of our Early Intervention program, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality educational services to children birth to age three who are identified with a developmental delay or diagnosed condition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide formal and informal evaluations assessing functional capabilities of infants and toddlers on assigned caseload.
  • Develop and implement specific goals with measurable outcomes in the Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) in conjunction with the IFSP team.
  • Maintain all Early Intervention documentation including EI state forms and written documentation of all evaluations, goals, outcomes, progress notes and communication with other providers and families.
  • Ensure compliance with timelines for EI documentation.
  • Participate as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ensure the goals of the infant, toddler, and family are met as stated in the Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP).
  • Provide consultation and home programs for the families/caregivers to facilitate goals as identified in the Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP).

Requirements:

  • Hold or be eligible to hold a valid Washington teaching certificate with an early childhood special education (preferred) or P-12 special education endorsement.
  • Experience working with children ages birth to five and working with IFSPs and/or IEPs.
  • Experience working with families preferably in natural environments.
  • Valid driver license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • National Board Teacher Certification.
  • Experience in the administration and provisions of early childhood special education services.
  • Teaching experience.
  • Experience training and supervising paraeducators.
  • Experience in serving students in rural or remote districts.

Working Conditions:

  • Travel within ESD 112 Special Education ESA region.
  • May be assigned to more than one building/district.
  • Physically able to perform duties of position in addition to the ability to get to a child's level, ability to bend and/or stoop.

Employment Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a criminal history and fingerprint check through the Washington State Patrol and FBI.
  • Driver's license and acceptable driving abstract.
