Job Title: Early Intervention Special Education Teacher

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Intervention Special Education Teacher to join our team at Educational Services. As an Early Intervention Special Education Teacher, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality educational services to children birth to age three who are identified with a developmental delay or diagnosed condition.

Job Summary:

The Early Intervention Special Education Teacher will provide early intervention strategies and supports in the areas of assessment, instruction, and consultation to staff and families of children age birth to three in natural environments as a primary service provider. This position requires a strong understanding of early childhood special education principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide formal and informal evaluations assessing functional capabilities of infants and toddlers on assigned caseload.
  2. Develop and implement specific goals with measurable outcomes in the Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) in conjunction with the IFSP team.
  3. Maintain all Early Intervention documentation including EI state forms and written documentation of all evaluations, goals, outcomes, progress notes and communication with other providers and families.
  4. Ensure compliance with timelines for EI documentation.
  5. Participate as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
  6. Ensure the goals of the infant, toddler, and family are met as stated in the Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP).
  7. Provide consultation and home programs for the families/caregivers to facilitate goals as identified in the Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP).
Requirements:
  1. Hold or be eligible to hold a valid Washington teaching certificate with an early childhood special education (preferred) or P-12 special education endorsement.
  2. Experience working with children ages birth to five and working with IFSPs and/or IEPs.
  3. Experience working with families preferably in natural environments.
  4. Valid driver license.
Working Conditions:
  1. Travel within ESD 112 Special Education ESA region.
  2. May be assigned to more than one building/district.
  3. Physically able to perform duties of position in addition to the ability to get to a child's level, ability to bend and/or stoop.
