Job Summary

The University of Texas at Austin seeks a skilled Grant Writer to identify funding needs and opportunities, attend strategy meetings, and prepare proposals by conducting research, gathering internal and external data, and writing drafts. The successful candidate will ensure timely submission of proposals, work with faculty and staff to develop and prepare proposals, and maintain the overall quality of proposals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify funding needs and opportunities, and attend strategy meetings to discuss proposals.
  • Conduct research, gather internal and external data, and write drafts of proposals.
  • Ensure timely submission of proposals by determining priorities and target dates.
  • Work with faculty and staff to develop and prepare proposals for submission to prospective sponsoring agencies.
  • Maintain the overall quality of proposals by creating, maintaining, and revising proposal templates and support materials.
