Security Systems Installation Specialist

Position Overview
As a vital member of our team, you will oversee the setup and upkeep of electronic security systems. Your role will encompass preventive maintenance, inspections, evaluations, and inventory management. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading teams on small to moderately complex installation projects
  • Conducting and documenting daily toolbox discussions
  • Installing head end equipment at local and global levels according to design specifications
  • Programming head end equipment for Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and CCTV systems
  • Troubleshooting and isolating systems and hardware at local and global levels
  • Providing on-site software commissioning and testing
  • Performing inspections, evaluations, and inventory management

Position/Candidate Qualifications

  • Eligibility to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
  • Possession of a valid driver's license
  • Successful completion of a background check
  • Education: High School diploma or GED, Military Electronics Training, or graduation from an accredited Electronics Technician program or Electrical Apprenticeship program
  • Required Experience: 4-6 years in electronics installation and maintenance, specifically in security systems
  • Excellent communication skills, teamwork, and time management abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Vendor certifications in IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems
  • Experience with various security systems and operating systems

Physical and Cognitive Abilities

  • Physical requirements: lifting, climbing, reaching, and good vision and hearing
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to apply general rules and synthesize information effectively
