Position Overview:

The Site Coordinator plays a vital role in enhancing services and support for young individuals at our Lawrence and Haverhill Youth Centers. This position ensures the center remains accessible to emerging young adults and their families, maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment. The Site Coordinator will also coordinate with community partners for the use of center facilities and assist in organizing events both at the center and within the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Streetwork team to develop a calendar of community events.
  • Engage with community partners to ensure the use of space aligns with UTEC's mission and values.
  • Oversee the scheduling and planning of events at the center and community-sponsored events, including managing permits as necessary.
  • Delegate tasks to assistants or interns effectively.
  • Ensure the center is equipped with necessary supplies and technology.
  • Track relevant data, including:
    • The number of young adults utilizing the space and the services accessed.
    • The number of community partners utilizing the space.
  • Maintain organized records related to programs, curriculum, and community events.
  • Communicate with staff regarding upcoming events.
  • Coordinate enrichment opportunities for young adults, such as classes and workshops.
  • Facilitate group activities and provide crisis intervention as needed.
Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of logistics and operations for managing a community space.
  • Able to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, particularly with young adults.
  • Creative skills for designing promotional materials for events.
  • Proficient in Google/Microsoft Office Suite or similar tools.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage projects independently.
  • Detail-oriented project management skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Familiarity with diversity, equity, and inclusion principles.
  • Preferred knowledge of youth programs and trauma-informed approaches.
Education and Experience:
  • Preferred lived experience.
  • GED or High School diploma required.
  • Experience working with at-risk youth is highly preferred.
  • Event planning experience is advantageous.
  • Experience collaborating with community partners is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs.
  • Valid MA driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
