Job Overview

Ascend Management is expanding its horizons and is currently seeking a Community Operations Manager for our newly revitalized property. This role is pivotal in overseeing the seamless operation of our community.

Position Summary

The Community Operations Manager will ensure the effective management of the property, reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer.

Key Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Administering and implementing leasing strategies and sales techniques as per Ascend Management's standards.
  • Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of company policies and community regulations.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate reporting, as well as the management of all administrative documentation.
  • Overseeing rent collection, monitoring receivables, and maintaining precise resident accounts using property management software.
  • Providing exceptional service and prompt responses to resident inquiries.
  • Creating and executing resident engagement initiatives, such as newsletters and community events.
  • Reporting any significant issues regarding residents or property conditions.
  • Upholding OSHA standards and safety protocols across all departments.
  • Pursuing opportunities for professional development and skill enhancement.
  • Managing inventory and procurement of administrative supplies for the management team.
  • Contributing to personnel management, including training and scheduling of on-site staff.
  • Ensuring a professional demeanor and appearance for oneself and all team members.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a Community Manager or similar property management role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to perform calculations related to financial transactions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and the capability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
  • Experience with property management software is advantageous.
  • A proactive approach to teamwork and problem-solving.
Work Environment

This position requires the ability to perform essential functions, which may include sitting for extended periods, using hands for tasks, and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds. The work environment is typically low to moderate in noise level and may involve exposure to outdoor conditions.
