Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our health philanthropy programs, focusing on behavioral health, climate change, and their intersection. The ideal candidate has expertise in designing and implementing effective programs for grantmakers, foundations, and corporate giving programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop high-quality programming for staff and trustees of foundations and corporate giving programs, including webinars, workshops, and learning communities.
  • Conduct research and write about public health issues, trends, and challenges for grantmaking and philanthropic audiences.
  • Build strong relationships with grantmakers, providing strategic advice on programmatic and operational issues.
  • Collaborate with other team members to develop resources and events for the GIH community.
  • Represent GIH externally, communicating effectively about GIH's work, highlighting health philanthropy achievements, and presenting at conferences.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g., public health, healthcare administration) and 3+ years of experience in health philanthropy, nonprofit management, or related fields.
  • Expertise in behavioral health, climate change, or both, with a deep understanding of public health issues and trends.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and project management skills, with experience in developing and leading programs, events, and initiatives.
  • Familiarity with philanthropy, grantmaking, and nonprofit operations, with a proven track record of building partnerships and networks.
  • A competitive salary of $75,000-$95,000 per year, based on experience, plus benefits package, including medical, dental, vision insurance, paid vacation time, and retirement plan eligibility.
