County Health Services Director

NACo is looking for an experienced Program Director to lead our Health and Human Services portfolio, focusing on public health issues and developing programs that advance county understanding of their role, authority, and opportunity for investing in children and families.
This key role will involve managing workflow, developing budgets, and supervising staff, as well as leading fundraising efforts and providing oversight of grant-funded activities.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain program-specific budgets, ensuring alignment with NACo's strategic goals.
- Manage contracts and agreements with funders, sub-contractors, and providers.
- Supervise portfolio staff, guiding special projects and initiatives.
- Partner with the Chief Program Officer to stay apprised of current policy positions and develop relevant content for NACo members.
- Bachelor's degree required; master's degree or relevant professional certification in public administration or policy preferred.
- Minimum five years' people management experience.
- Demonstrated fundraising experience and active networks with health philanthropy strongly preferred.
The estimated salary for this position is $115,000-$125,000 per year, with a competitive benefits package including comprehensive medical, vision, and dental insurance, paid leave, and transportation subsidy.
