About the Opportunity

DMI is seeking a skilled Desktop Support Specialist to join our Managed Mobility team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional end-user support, resolving technical issues, and ensuring seamless system operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide timely and effective support for reported technical issues with desktop computers, laptops, peripherals, and mobile devices.
  • Collaborate with vendors to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Install and configure desktop computer hardware, software, and peripherals using standard procedures.
  • Assist individuals with technical problems, providing clear guidance and solutions.
  • Train users on computer hardware and software, including printers, email programs, and software applications.
  • Monitor and track pending and completed technical support requests to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Communicate effectively with users, vendors, and internal teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Meet or exceed quality assurance scores and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent experience.
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) and Technology Associate (MTA) certifications.
  • Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT) and Certified Technician (CCT) certifications.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed to complete projects.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Supporting computer hardware, including central processing units, monitors, hard drives, and printers.
  • Supporting hard disk arrays, including RAID systems.
  • Supporting computer software, including backup and data recovery, desktop communications, operating system, and configuration management software.
  • Problem-solving skills, including diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
  • Interpersonal skills, including handling difficult technical problems and communicating with users.
  • Listening and speaking skills, including understanding and describing technical issues to non-technical users.
  • Writing skills, including documenting technical issues and creating instructional materials.
