POSITION OVERVIEW

The Field Service Engineer for Aftermarket Solutions will report to the Aftermarket Development Manager - North America. This position is pivotal in enhancing aftermarket sales through comprehensive onsite evaluations and reports for clients and contractors. The engineer will cultivate customer relationships by offering education and training. This role necessitates collaboration with the sales teams and BAC personnel across various organizational levels.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conducts thorough equipment evaluations, produces detailed inspection reports, and formulates parts proposals.
  • Prepares quotations for replacement components and enhancements of current systems.
  • Facilitates equipment startups, compiles commissioning reports, and delivers customer training sessions.
  • Engages in customer relationship management through onsite consultations, technical presentations, and training workshops.
  • Oversees Sales Projects.
  • Coordinates with clients on all project management aspects, including scheduling, fabrication, and delivery.
  • Addresses and resolves issues and disputes with clients and suppliers promptly.
  • Manages warranty claims effectively.
  • Prepares quotes and processes orders with suppliers for third-party products.
  • Oversees third-party orders, ensuring timely scheduling, delivery confirmations, and invoicing.
ROLE CONTEXT

This position reports to the Aftermarket Development Manager and collaborates closely with Aftermarket sales engineers to meet the office's sales volume and performance goals.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
  • Completion of Trade or Technical School is essential; additional college education is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the HVAC sector is required.
  • The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in both field and office settings.
  • Must exhibit strong organizational skills along with technical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Possesses a natural aptitude for mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with various control systems, programming, troubleshooting, and testing is essential.
  • Enjoys engaging with diverse individuals, including contractors, property owners, and business professionals.
  • Exhibits strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying technical information clearly and articulating problems and solutions effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • A self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively. A broad understanding of technical, administrative, and financial concepts is preferred.
  • A fundamental grasp of industry terminology and business processes is beneficial.
  • Capable of thriving in a fast-paced work environment.
