Job Summary

Centennial CO is seeking a highly skilled and experienced leader to fill the role of Vice President of Ice Cream Manufacturing. This individual will be responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership for our well-established company headquartered in Cincinnati.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee production, distribution, and warehousing operations, including production forecasting and scheduling.
  • Coach and counsel direct reports to ensure effective decision-making and goal achievement.
  • Develop and sustain a positive work environment and high levels of communication, cooperation, and mutual support among departments.
  • Source, negotiate, and purchase raw ingredients and packaging used in the production process.
  • Manage relationships with regulatory agencies and respond effectively to cross-functional requests.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources and others to develop and implement associate development and engagement strategies.
  • Understand and manage capital project expenditures and implement environmental health and safety programs, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and product food safety programs.
  • Perform sales, business development, and client management activities with co-pack customers.
Requirements
  • College degree and/or equivalent experience in manufacturing, engineering, business, food science, or related field.
  • 7-10 years of operational and management experience in food production environments.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Ice Cream manufacturing and 5+ years of experience as a manager, including experience managing direct reports.
  • Familiarity with basic plant equipment and planning, scheduling, and project management experience.
  • Food Technology experience and knowledge of key financial and manufacturing performance metrics.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to prioritize plant operations in light of multiple priorities and conflicting demands.
  • Strong analytical skills, well-organized, and able to coordinate multiple tasks and requests.
  • Proven track record in assessing the effectiveness/ROI of operational programs and creating actionable strategies for operations and partner functions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to articulate and present vision or concepts that educate and influence thinking.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and problem-solving capabilities, with a proven track record of collaborating with key stakeholders across functions and levels.
