Position Overview: The Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Training Subject Matter Expert (SME) plays a crucial role in the Republic of Korea's Special Operations Forces (SOF) by delivering comprehensive training and support for Amentum's CWMD Readiness Project. This position is tasked with the design, development, and execution of CBRN technical training programs and capability assessments aligned with various Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a primary instructor, exercise observer/controller, and workshop facilitator, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and operational readiness.
- Conduct detailed DOTMLPF-P analyses to identify and address emerging requirements within the DTRA's capacity-building efforts for the ROK military.
- Collaborate with Amentum's leadership and U.S. stakeholders to ensure meticulous planning and coordination for training events.
- Facilitate on-site training and study activities, providing direct support to enhance the capabilities of ROK forces.
Expertise Requirements:
- Extensive knowledge of WMD operations, including radiological and nuclear consequence management.
- Proficiency in strategic planning principles and the ability to influence policy formulation within the DoD and ROK frameworks.
- Experience in military leadership roles, preferably as a company grade or Field Grade officer in a CBRN specialized unit.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey findings and recommendations to diverse audiences.
Training and Development:
- Assist in the creation and validation of master training plans and standard operating procedures.
- Plan and execute technical workshops to evaluate military engagement strategies.
- Utilize the ADDIE process for curriculum development, ensuring training materials are consistently updated.
Operational Complexity: This role involves navigating complex organizational challenges and adapting to the dynamic landscape of U.S.-ROK military collaboration. The SME must assess the implications of strategic shifts and manage multiple concurrent initiatives effectively.
