Job Summary

Envisioneering is seeking a highly experienced Senior RF Systems Engineer to lead our research and development efforts in naval electronic warfare systems. As a Principal RF Scientist, you will be responsible for providing scientific leadership in support of the Naval Research Laboratory's Tactical Electronic Warfare Division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply broad experience in research and development of RF spectrum technologies to solve complex problems in defense of our naval forces.
  • Work closely with government scientists and engineers to advance existing R&D projects and investigate novel solutions related to the application of RF energy to electronic warfare, countermeasures, and directed energy.
  • Assess studies and phenomenology, and translate technical solutions into proof-of-concept approaches leading to the development and testing of prototype systems in laboratory and field environments.
Requirements
  • 20+ years of experience in a physics or engineering field (15+ with PhD).
  • Experience in design, development, and implementation of EW systems or high-power microwave systems for DoD applications.
  • Experience with DoD research and development and intelligence organizations in directed energy weapons or RF countermeasure technology.
  • Strong understanding of digital signal processing concepts and communication technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience with RF measurements and writing associated test plans.
  • Top-Secret Clearance.
Education
  • Master's degree (Ph.D. preferred) in Physics or Engineering discipline.
Salary and Benefits
  • Salary range: $140,000.00 - $160,000.00.

Clearance and Security
  • U.S. Citizenship Required.
  • Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret security clearance required at time of hire.
