Job Title: Freight Brokerage Carrier Sales Representative

Job Summary:

The Freight Brokerage Carrier Sales Representative will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with transportation providers to ensure adequate coverage for Ryder's customers. This role will involve sourcing transportation providers, providing tracking updates, and building a network of service providers to support customer freight transportation needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tender accept/reject loads, create loads, set appointments, dispatch, track, and trace loads, and resolve issues as needed.
  • Identify and develop relationships with transportation providers to ensure adequate coverage for Ryder's customers.
  • Manage day-to-day planning and scheduling of coverage for loads to ensure proper customer needs are met.
  • Work with the pricing department to develop quotes for potential clients.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Continuously improve processes and procedures to enhance business performance.
  • Schedule and dispatch loads while ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations.
  • Maintain a positive employee-related climate and achieve a World Class customer satisfaction index.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • H.S. diploma/GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Transportation Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Three (3) years or more business experience required.
