Position Overview:
The American Chemical Society is seeking applications for a tenure-track faculty role in Organic Chemistry. This position is designed for an individual who is passionate about teaching and research in the field of organic chemistry.

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for instructing courses in the Organic Chemistry curriculum, including both lecture and laboratory components. Additionally, the candidate will have the opportunity to teach advanced courses that contribute to interdisciplinary programs such as Biochemistry & Molecular Biology.

The role includes developing and sustaining a vibrant research agenda focused on synthetic organic and bioorganic chemistry, while also mentoring undergraduate students through their senior thesis projects.

Facilities and Support:
Our institution offers state-of-the-art facilities for both teaching and research, including advanced instrumentation such as a 400 MHz multinuclear NMR spectrometer, GC/MS, ICP-MS, triple quadrupole LC/MS, X-ray diffractometer, HPLC, and a TRIGA nuclear reactor, all supported by a dedicated instrumentation chemist.

Funding and Resources:
The American Chemical Society provides faculty members with substantial start-up funding and dedicated laboratory space to facilitate their research endeavors. A Ph.D. in a relevant field is required at the time of appointment, and while postdoctoral experience is preferred, it is not mandatory.
