Adjunct Faculty Position for Chemistry Instructor

The Adjunct Faculty Position for Chemistry Instructor is a part-time teaching role that reports to the Dean of the Division of Natural Sciences and Health at Warner Pacific University. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching chemistry courses on the traditional campus, with terms typically running 15 weeks.
Key Responsibilities- Teach assigned courses, including lecture and laboratory sections, in organic chemistry, modeling current best practices in teaching and demonstrating a commitment to sound andragogical and pedagogical practices.
- Mentor students during the course.
- Clearly communicate to students when and how to secure instruction and feedback outside of regular course meeting hours.
- Provide prompt and thorough feedback to students to ensure their ability to incorporate changes before subsequent assignments.
- Work collegially with the Dean, faculty, staff, and students; providing timely and professional communication.
- Understand and promote the mission, values, and core themes of Warner Pacific University.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills in all interactions with faculty, staff, and students.
- Participate in the professional development opportunities provided by the institution.
- Adhere to college policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate a commitment to a Christian liberal arts education by upholding the mission of the university and abiding by the Employment Standards and Lifestyle Agreement.
