About the Role
MaineHealth is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Education Tech to join our team at the Glickman Lauder Center of Excellence in Autism and Developmental Disorders.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the achievement of quality intervention and student outcomes by utilizing evidence-based teaching strategies and applied behavior analysis.
- Support students in achieving their highest potential by acquiring new skills and reducing challenging behaviors under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and Special Education Teacher.
- Provide a structured and supportive educational environment that fosters growth and development.
Requirements
- Education: Please see License/Certifications
- License/Certifications: Special Ed Tech II college credits in approved study or Certification as an Education Technician II from the Maine Department of Education (minimum of 90+ credits in approved study). Certification as School-Based Behavioral Health Professional will be provided upon hire.
- Experience: 1+ year of experience working with children or youth with developmental disorders, mental health disorders, and/or challenging behavior in a school, hospital, or residential setting.
