Position Overview
AECOM is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer with a focus on providing exceptional engineering services. This role involves applying your knowledge in geotechnical design and analysis to ensure project success. You will be expected to lead project tasks with a client-centered approach, delivering comprehensive designs backed by rigorous analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct field investigations, including soil and rock sampling, and geotechnical testing.
- Utilize advanced software tools for geotechnical analysis and design.
- Mentor junior engineers and assist in their professional development.
- Prepare detailed geotechnical reports and design documents.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project objectives.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of soil mechanics and geotechnical principles.
- Ability to travel for fieldwork as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering.
- Proficiency in geotechnical software such as GeoStudio, LPILE, and Plaxis.
- Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
