Job Title: Electrical Engineer Senior
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer Senior to join our team at Birdon America Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading small teams of engineers, managing projects, and ensuring compliance with ABS and ABYC standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead small teams of engineers and manage projects to ensure timely completion and compliance with standards.
- Develop electrical power generation, C5i, and power distribution systems for marine applications.
- Produce electrical plant load analysis along with wire sizing and component protection in accordance with ABS standards.
- Partner with quality to troubleshoot installation issues, determine root cause, and recommend solutions.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the department by creating work instructions for best practices and mentoring/training junior engineers/designers.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in navigation, communication, video, power generation, and control & alarm systems.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and team facilitation skills, including customer interaction.
- Ability to work under limited supervision and must work well in a team environment.
- Confidentiality, tact, and discretion when dealing with people.
- Detail-oriented while able to continuously improve efficiency.
