Job Title: Senior Principal Engineer

Join the City of New Orleans, LA team as a Senior Principal Engineer and contribute to the planning and execution of public works projects. As a key member of the engineering division, you will work closely with higher-level engineers to develop municipal improvements and act as a second-in-command for major engineering projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform expert-level professional engineering on public works projects
  • Participate in the planning of municipal improvements
  • Act as chief inspector and/or monitor on large and complex projects
  • Prepare contracts and reports
  • Coordinate assigned activities with other divisions, outside consultants, contractors, engineers, and outside agencies
Requirements:
  • Registration as a professional Engineer and license to practice in Louisiana
  • Four (4) years of engineering experience as a professional Engineer
  • Experience must have been gained after registration as a Professional Engineer
