About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Traffic Engineer to join our team at WSP. As a key member of our Traffic Engineering practice, you will be responsible for designing and implementing innovative solutions to complex transportation challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance for the operation of streets and highways, including traffic signal design and timing.
  • Perform capacity analyses, review permitting, and engage in the design, concept development, and construction of roadways and traffic patterns.
  • Develop and design innovative concepts for strategic intersection and corridor improvements.
  • Design communications networks and traffic signal improvements to facilitate remote, real-time corridor operations.
  • Oversee and monitor cross-functional teams of engineers, planners, and scientific professionals to execute project work.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • 7+ years of relevant post-education experience in engineering and prior traffic design experience.
  • Registered Professional Engineer preferred.
  • ITS and Signals Design experience.
  • Microstation or other CAD program proficiency.
  • Knowledge of traffic engineering and planning software.
